Congressional Black Associates is a professional staff association on Capitol Hill committed to bringing together the brightest minds, for professional development, social networking and community service.
According to a report released by the Joint Center for Political and Economic the lack of diversity on Capitol Hill specifically the Senate, is particularly glaring among African Americans (0.9 percent of top staff positions) and in the offices of senators hailing from states with large black and Hispanic populations. And it suggests that little has changed in the decade since the online magazine Diversity Inc. called the Senate the nation’s worst employer for diversity.
CBA has developed a resume bank of ready, willing and able African American staffers to share upon request to Capitol Hill offices seeking qualified candidates.
